Tuesday 6 February 2024 at 10:00 am, the meeting started and schools from Greece, Romania (where our team coordinator belongs), Croatia, Turkey etc. started to connect. We all feel nervous but also happy. The experience is unprecedented...
At the beginning, the project coordinator Ms. Lacramiora Fira presented the topic we were working on in January 2024, the activities and the creations that came out of the collaboration of all the schools. We were then informed about the results of the online Quiz in which all schools took part (the theme was about "Social inclusion") and the winners (a student from a school in Sweden) were announced. This was followed by the announcement of the topic we will be working on this month: "Bulling and Cyberbulling" which I find very interesting. I can't wait to get started...
Finally, the floor was given to us and we, the students of the schools, were invited to express our thoughts and opinions on the topic of "Social Inclusion" and the activities we have been engaged in the previous month. One by one the students came in front of the microphone and developed their views. Spyridoula and Dimitris and Dora and George spoke about our school (in English). Well done guys!
And so the time passed, the meeting came to an end and the schools
Somehow the time passed, the meeting came to an end and the schools said goodbye with joy and beautiful wishes! Until next time!
The students' views on the meeting
Zoe (2nd grade)
We asked our classmates about the meeting and most of them said that their opinion was positive and that they had a quite enjoyable time.
In more detail, to the question "What did you think of the meeting?" the answers we received were: "Good", "A bit stressful", "Pleasant", "Exciting", "Fantastic", while to the question "Would you like to do it again?" most of them answered positively with the most enthusiastic ones adding: "Yes, because it was great", "It was so much fun!"
Finally, it should be mentioned that it was Theodore who took it upon himself to record moments from the meeting with his camera.
What we learned about social inclusion?
In our opinion, with the word "inclusion" we combine many different things. Every person is different, from a different country, culture, with different characteristics, customs and traditions, but we all have equal rights. So we all need to understand that it is necessary to accept each person exactly as they are, without putting labels on them. Moreover, we should realize that we cannot judge anyone based on their outer appearance or origin, but on their personality.

About the January 2024 activities (Social inclusion)
In our opinion, the activities we have been involved in during the last month were very useful as they helped us to understand how important it is to be able to "put yourself in someone else's shoes". In class and based on a short video, we talked and exchanged views on the concept of inclusion. We then collaboratively wrote a story. Finally, we answered a questionnaire and played a game.
